A pretty new thermal vest, yes an undergarment. My mantra is layers. layers and more layers, I do not believe in feeling the cold.
A new bathroom, if you knew how long I've waited for this you would forgive the crowing.
The briefest of winter sunlight, after a morning of lashing rain and wind.
A furtive sherbet dip dab.
And finally something that doesn't make my face scream in pain, after weeks of searching; a simple, cheap product that is a life saver for my eczema.
What is making you happy right now?
Happy Sunday everyone xxx
Lovely vest ... Would be nice worn as a top with a cardi. Your new bathroom looks lovely, and I love sherbet dib dabs ... Nothing furtive about them!
ReplyDeleteLove Claire xx
I did eat it sitting up in bed!
DeleteHi, can I ask where you bought the vest from?and how have you decorated your new bathroom?Kind Regards Pam.
ReplyDeleteI found it in Asda. I bought a couple there last year, great quality and very good value. Bathroom is pale grey and white, functional and easy to clean. Bought everything discounted but did treat myself to Cath Kidston floor tiles.
DeleteYour taps and tile are the same as mine (mines not as clean!) :)
ReplyDeleteGive me time and I will see what I can do!
DeleteNext time I'm Waitrose I'll be getting some of that botty butter, if it works on my hands I'll be in heaven. I do have some wonderful hand cream but every now and then my hands just erupt and it's horrible! Suzy x
ReplyDeleteGive it a go, I spent Saturday reading labels on every cream I could find. This one has only three ingredients; olive oil, vanilla and chamomile oil. The other so called natural products I looked at would require a chemistry degree to interpret.
DeleteYour thermal is gorgeous. I love the colour and lacey edges. Glad you've found something to help your skin too, eczema can be a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments Jo.
DeleteThe sun shining brightly and beautifully is making me happy today, could this be a dry bonfire night? fingers crossed X
ReplyDeleteLove your new bathroom, I have been waiting 16 years for one:) honestly!
I am a layer wearer too, Ooh you can't have too many!
Happy Monday.
Love Maria x
You just beat me on the bathroom wait by 2 years, hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer. Have a happy dry bonfire night.
Deletedip dab! I remember that! and yes I do get the thermal vet, it looks like a nice one! have a good week, Heather x
ReplyDeleteYou too Heather.
DeleteSuch a nice collection of happy things. Happy things are usually the simplest. Your new bathroom looks so clean and shiny and new, I am quite jealous! Gillian x
ReplyDeleteThanks Gillian. Don't worry I have a family who will soon get to work on the bathroom. Instructions have been given but I expect they will be ignored.
DeleteHi there...:)
ReplyDeleteCannot believe the bottom butter :):)As we have no Waitrose in Ireland I will have to pop in the next time I am in England and buy some. Delighted to hear that it helps your eczema.
Love your pictures. I know what you mean about your bathroom. I waited years to do mine and its an amazing feeling to get it finished.
Its the simple things in life that make us happy. Am subscribing to your blog. :)
You are most welcome Pat.
DeleteThankfully I only get eczema when pregnant (and I'm not planning on doing that again!) But I used sudocrem on it on the recommendation of my midwife and it was great.
ReplyDeleteLoving the vest and the shiney bathroom.
Eleanor x
Thanks for the recommendation, might give it a go. I also had it when pregnant but what worked then was excruciating this time. Signs of getting older, finer skin etc
DeleteI love your new bathroom tiles. I hope you have many a relaxing soak in the bath to admire and enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the vest front, can't be feeling cold!
Lisa x
Thank you Lisa.
DeleteIt is definitely starting to get 'thermal' wearing weather. I need to buy a thermal top as well to keep me warm.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new bathroom..it looks so clean and sparkly :)
Magie x
Thank you, I will.
DeleteOoh, I must recommend the bottom butter to my son who suffers horribly with eczema. I now have bathroom envy ... we need a new one two!
ReplyDeletePlease do, hopefully it will help him.
