Happy little things ...

A pretty new thermal vest, yes an undergarment.  My mantra is layers. layers and more layers, I do not believe in feeling the cold.

A new bathroom, if you knew how long I've waited for this you would forgive the crowing.

The briefest of winter sunlight, after a morning of lashing rain and wind.

A furtive sherbet dip dab.

And finally something that doesn't make my face scream in pain, after weeks of searching; a simple, cheap product that is a life saver for my eczema.

What is making you happy right now?

Happy Sunday everyone xxx

  1. Lovely vest ... Would be nice worn as a top with a cardi. Your new bathroom looks lovely, and I love sherbet dib dabs ... Nothing furtive about them!

    1. I found it in Asda. I bought a couple there last year, great quality and very good value. Bathroom is pale grey and white, functional and easy to clean. Bought everything discounted but did treat myself to Cath Kidston floor tiles.

  4. Next time I'm Waitrose I'll be getting some of that botty butter, if it works on my hands I'll be in heaven. I do have some wonderful hand cream but every now and then my hands just erupt and it's horrible! Suzy x

    1. Give it a go, I spent Saturday reading labels on every cream I could find. This one has only three ingredients; olive oil, vanilla and chamomile oil. The other so called natural products I looked at would require a chemistry degree to interpret.

  5. Your thermal is gorgeous. I love the colour and lacey edges. Glad you've found something to help your skin too, eczema can be a nightmare.

    1. Thanks Gillian. Don't worry I have a family who will soon get to work on the bathroom. Instructions have been given but I expect they will be ignored.

  9. Hi there...:)

Cannot believe the bottom butter :):)As we have no Waitrose in Ireland I will have to pop in the next time I am in England and buy some. Delighted to hear that it helps your eczema.

Love your pictures. I know what you mean about your bathroom. I waited years to do mine and its an amazing feeling to get it finished.

Its the simple things in life that make us happy. Am subscribing to your blog. :)

  10. Thankfully I only get eczema when pregnant (and I'm not planning on doing that again!) But I used sudocrem on it on the recommendation of my midwife and it was great.

Loving the vest and the shiney bathroom.

    1. Thanks for the recommendation, might give it a go. I also had it when pregnant but what worked then was excruciating this time. Signs of getting older, finer skin etc
