Whilst in Oxford St, a few weeks back, I spied this card. It wasn't until I was in Scribbler looking for a suitable Father's day card that I picked it up and thought why not. It is making it debut because during my regular Saturday morning newspaper flit and blog hop, I am reliably informed on thewomensroomblog that it is World Gin Day. I am not prescribing this as a solution to all ills, heaven knows I might find you all thrown onto the street with your babies but hopefully the card will make both the teetotal and imbiber smile.
Happy weekend xxx
Tee Hee, made me smile :-) Have a happy weekend!

You too, Gilly.
DeleteI recently developed a taste for gin ( I know, who knew it was possible at my age?) after my Netherlands- based cousin left a bottle when she visited. It was a revelation. Really delicious. Definitely the way forward - or possibly downward.
ReplyDeleteI like to think it gives me an air of sophistication, after spending my youth on sugary drinks.
Deletethere are those moments aren't there, but really I think I have about one drink a year! I'm more likely to think about a cigarette, but that won't happen either. I haven't smoked for 15 years! life is so tame now but healthy!! Heather
ReplyDeleteWell done on giving up cigarettes, I never smoked but realise how difficult it must be to stop.
DeleteLove this card and the fact that it is World Gin Day. I must remember to toast it with a Gin and Orange tonight. It is one of my favourites tipples. I used to hate the smell of it in my younger days, but like the last commenter have in more recent years developed a taste for it. It started after drinking Mahon gin on a trip to Menorca, lovely stuff with Fanta lemon. Chin chin.
ReplyDeleteI found some pink gin, especially for the occasion!

I used to hate the smell of gin when younger, but like the last commenter have more recently acquired a taste for it, particularly after trying Mahon gin on a holiday in Menorca. A lovely drink with Fanta lemon and ice. Chin Chin.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking this card very personally. I used to love a gin and tonic but it's years since I had one. I must go immediately and buy some - what have you started???
ReplyDeleteAxxx
Cheers.
DeleteHello! Thank you for stopping by my blog! I know so many people who love gin and tonics. I have never tasted gin, but it must be a great combo.
ReplyDeleteSearching for the last bit of Sloe gin from last year!!....mustn't be left out......dx
ReplyDeleteDrink more Gin? LOL... Love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm very partial to a G&T myself too! P.S. thanks for leaving a comment on my blog last week :-)
ReplyDeleteGin gives me the most awful headache. I'm sure there must be a world whisky day which I will be able to support without reservation. I'd love to know more about the singing lessons. My voice is not wonderful but I would love to sing and have been contemplating lessons.
