Little book of wisdom ...

This little book was recommended on Caroline Hirons a few weeks back so I made a library reservation.   Written by Frank Lipman M.D. & Danielle Claro, it presents a simple approach for a healthy lifestyle.  Some rules are very obvious such as making water your "default beverage" and others very now "clutter is the junk food of the home".   How about that for a quote?  In particular I liked "don't let your computer ruin your spine", "respect your internal clock", and "honour they feet".

I have renewed my library loan but I get a sense that I might be adding this to my Christmas wish list.

Check it out, its simplicity makes it truly beautiful.

  1. Sounds really interesting and if recommended by Caroline I'm sure it is very good. I really like her YouTube channel.

    1. I like the one on her blog when she hollers at her son to be quiet. Just so normal.

  3. That does sound super-healthy! And it's exactly the kind of book I like to read. I'd be very surprised if our library have it though... must have a look and see!

  4. I certainly should pay attend to the "don't let your computer ruin your spine" rule. I read that every 10 mins of an hour that you work at the computer you should get up and move around. I so try to do this but the computer takes me away and I just forget time ...several hours can go by without me knowing it. Going to have a look online to see if I can download to kindle....

    keep well

    1. Yes I think it is on Kindle. I know what you mean you have to make a conscious effort to move frequently.

  5. What I really need right now is a book that will just do it for me! I did declutter over the weekend though, and it is one of the most liberating things that I can ever do so I thoroughly recommend it!! xx

    1. I made a supreme effort to do the same myself but the fairies seem to have brought it all back!

  7. I'm eating lots of smoothies like that this summer, although I'm using hemp protein powder as it doesn't flavour things as much as pea, and I use a mix of coconut water and a whole foods only nut milk. Today I whizzed pear, peach, kiwi, spinach, milled seed mix and fresh lime juice together with the above and it was maybe the best yet.

  9. I have added you to my bloglist via johnnyjumps up - we have a mobile library visit the village every Monday afternoon - the staff are really helpful so I'll make a note of this.
